When In Doubt Wear Red

This is a really simple top, and that's exactly why I love it

Crepeon Raglan Tee from Topshop

The high neckline, raglan sleeves and the gold zip at the back neck, make it a sophisticated tee

And the colour, a warm orange-red, is so flattering. It will look amazing teamed with a pair of black coated skinnies (flash of ankle compulsory), a simple gold collar and some clashing leopard print ankle boots

Gold Tone Torque from River Island (old), Ankle Boots from Aldo

Polished but not too try hard, just my kind of outfit :)

Hope you all had a good weekend?

We Live In A Rainbow Of Chaos

The weather is still dreary but these sandals cannot fail to brighten up the dullest day (even if it means just looking at them in their box!)

I finally caved and ordered them on Sunday evening

They turned up at my desk on Wednesday morning and I love them, happy days :)

Can't wait for the weekend...

There Is A Thin Line Between Love And Hate And That Line, My Friend, Is A Scarf

I've brightened up an all black (some would consider boring) outfit today with my new scarf from Zara

I do wear quite a lot of black so I know I'm going to reach for this scarf time and time again

It's warm, but lightweight and a really good size. It says handwash, so that will the delicate setting on my washing machine :)

God Made The Country. Man Made The Town

Here's a quick outfit of the day post, cowgirl-in-the-city was not look that I was going for :)

Denim Shirt from Oasis, Shorts from H&M, Bag from Zadig & Voltaire, Boots from  Kurt Geiger

Oh, and obviously I wore 100 denier opaque tights

Hope you're all having a happy Wednesday?

My Name Is Gladiator

Brrr. This cold weather has got me thinking about summer holidays (I'm sure I'm not alone!) and what I'll be wearing if when (positive thinking people) the sun decides to put in an appearance

So last night I had a root around in my wardrobe and got the nicest surprise...

I got these Zara heels (ebay bargain) last autumn and I'm still so excited at the prospect of wearing them for the first time (and that will be the moment my toes lose their blue hue)

The plethora of straps make them super secure, whilst the platform makes them comfortable (well, as physically possible when teetering on six inch heels) and the back zip means it won't take me an age to get them on and off

Where are you going on holiday? And what are you looking forward to wearing during the sunnier climes?

The Sky Is The Ultimate Art Gallery Just Above Us

I am always on the look out for new pictures, but it can be an expensive thing :(

Then I read a top tip from the oh-so-clever Jen (here)she bought a simple greetings card and put it in a frame that she had found in a charity shop (or was it a car boot sale?)

I can't believe I hadn't thought of this before?!

Anyways, whilst me and the boyf were out shopping on Saturday we had a little browse in Paperchase and found this card

Beam Me Up card from Paperchase

I popped it in a little frame, handy Andy got handy with his hammer, and voila!

It Is Easier To Protect Your Feet With Slippers Than Carpet The Whole Of The Earth

I'm not really a fan of the ballet pump. I think it's the obligatory bow that usually adorns said pumps that puts me off? I'm not adverse to a bow or two, just not on my toes thank you

Fortunately, I have found comfort in the "slipper"

Last year I did my usual and bought two pairs from Topshop *yep, I jumped on the vectra bandwagon*, although I am still kicking myself for not getting the leopard pair. Although come to think of it, I do remember at the time wondering if leopard *and not even ponyskin leopard I might add* and studs were just a bit OTT on one pair of little slippers for my liking

Here are the black vectra's worn yesterday with jacket from River Island (here), long sleeved t-shirt from Gap and dot jeans from Topshop (both here)

The nude vectras will be busting out very soon...

Anyways, ever since I have been keeping an eye out for a plain *ponyskin* leopard slipper and lo and behold look who came up trumps...

Ostile Ballerina from Aldo

I have conveniently ignored the fact that Aldo call them a ballerina. They're currently on sale and in a variety of colours from wardrobe staple black to indulgent spangly silver. I managed to restrain myself and just order the leopard, that's progress right? And they are winging their way to me, so watch this space...

Are you a ballet pump fan or a fellow slipper lover?

If You Climb In The Saddle, Be Ready For The Ride

It would appear that I'm loving all things fringed at the moment (here) and these boots are no exception

Solero Boot from Carvela

I just think they will look really cool in the summer with tanned pins and a little denim dress *which I just happen to have found already ;)*

Hayley Dress from Oasis

As usual, I have my eye on the black colour as well, which I could wear now whilst summer insists on dragging it's heels *really, no pun intended*

Can anybody recommend a good therapist to help me with this affliction I have of buying shoes in every colour?

Small Cheer And Great Welcome Makes A Merry Feast

This weekend me and the bf decided to have a mosey around Covent Garden, we stopped at Bill's *one of my favourite places* (here) for a late lunch

It's a feast for the eyes as well as the belly

Sharing the love

No need for a menu, I always have the fish finger sandwich

And the marmalade and brown bread ice cream for dessert yum

All washed down with a cheeky glass of prosecco *or two* ;)

And I discovered a few weeks ago that Bill's is coming to St Albans woop woop, I can get my fish finger fix every week ;)

Hope you all had a good weekend?

The Odds Of Going To The Store For A Loaf Of Bread And Coming Out With Only A Loaf Of Bread Are Three Billion To One

Milk
Bread
Eggs
Orange Juice
Isabel Marant Jacket

Well who'd have known it, a cute *dare I say it in the same sentence* Marant stylie knitted jacket in Sainsburys?

Knitted Jacket from Sainsburys TU

Yep, last night I was doing my usual supermarket dash when I saw this little cutie hanging there, minding it's own business. No longer a label snob, with grown up bills to pay and all, I was hopeful that this little bargain beauty would fit the bill

It feels a really nice weight, a cross between a knitted jacket and a heavy *but not chunky* knit. And I'm sure it wouldn't look out of place in any one of the usual high street heavies, albeit with a higher price tag

It's going to look super super cute over one of my slogan tee's and skinnies

Geek T-Shirt from Matalan, Big Love T-Shirt from River Island
Have you found any bargains amongst the bananas?
